Photography is an award-winning leader in Michiana
photography. Most recently the studio was awarded “Best
Wedding Album of the Year” by the Michiana Professional
Photographers.
HOPKINS STUDIO in Berrien Springs, Southwest Michigan specializes
in
high school senior, wedding and family
photography. Karen Hopkins is
regarded as one of the top professional photographers in area. We
have photographed seniors for the following high schools.
Lakeshore High School (Stevensville), Saint Joseph High
School, Bridgman High School, Berrien Springs High School, Coloma
High School, Edwardsburg High School, Dowiagiac Union High School,
Eau Claire High School, Lake Michigan Catholic High School, Grace

We have also photographed students from as far away as Detroit and
Chicago.
Our high school senior pictures are creative and fun with a fashion
style. All retouching is included on every senior portrait. We
photograph kids with motorcycles, trucks, cars, friends, pets,
equipment and uniforms for cheerleading, football, baseball,
volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, hockey, track and field,
band choir, orchestra and various musical instruments, farm
tractors, snowmobiles and all kinds of unique personal styles. We
also offer fine art black and white, sepia brown tone, or color
pics, frames, wall portraits, photo purses, albums, coffee table
books, flushmount albums, folios, canvas prints, framed series,
wall collections, multiple opening mats, and lots of layouts.

We are well known for high quality imaginative images that capture
both “the story of the day,” but also the context and genuine
emotions of the wedding participants and guests. Out Albums display
your wedding images in beautifully composed layouts. Karen also
assists in helping you plan your special day to ensure everything
runs smoothly and you have a fun day without the stress that occurs
at some weddings. We work in many, many different churches in
Michiana and reception sites. If we have not photographed before at
a particular venue we check it out before the day, to learn the
visual potential of the place as well as best light
conditions.

Our studio is located in downtown Berrien Springs, between Roma
Pizza and Lemon Creek Ltd. Fabric Store, just three doors east of
the light. The studio is open by appointment only. All viewing of
photographs, placing and pick up of orders is at our residence only
two block from the studio at 211 South Kimmel Street, Berrien
Springs, MI 49103. Please call (269) 471-2904 for an appointment at
either the studio or residence. We service the following towns and
many other Michigan and Indiana communities. Stevensville, Saint
Joseph, Bridgman, Berrien Springs, Coloma, Eau Claire, Niles,
Buchanan, Benton Harbor, Dowagiac, Watervliet, Edwardsburg, Three
Oaks, Galien, in Southwestern Michigan as well as South Bend,
Michawaka, and Granger Indiana. Although most weddings we
photograph are in the Michiana area, we have photographed weddings
from Holland and Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Madison, Wisconsin,
including Chicago.
HOPKINS STUDIO’s award winning photography services are by
appointment only. We can create wedding, engagement, bridal,
maternity, or pregnancy images, children's portraits, newborn, baby
portraits and kids of all ages, high school seniors and university
graduates. Additionally, we photograph many other types of events
such as 50th wedding anniversaries or professional events.
Professional executive headshots, modeling portfolios, actors comp
cards are also all available. Unique outdoor and on-location
sessions are available as well as at our indoor studio. HOPKINS
STUDIO also offers
commercial photography including creating images
for book covers and book photographic illustrations, catalogues,
brochures, advertising, music CD sleeves, posters and websites;
photographing people, food, and products, as well as residential
and commercial architecture and landscapes. Custom professional
Graphic Design is also available. We offer restoration of old or
damaged photos too.
We are members of Michiana Professional
Photographers (a local affiliate
of Professional Photographers of
America), where Karen serves on
the Board of Directors. HOPKINS STUDIO also belongs to
Senior Portrait Artists
(the nations
premier senior photographers organization), the National Association of Photoshop
Professionals, and the
Pro4um (the highly regarded web
forum just for professional wedding, senior and portrait
photographers). The studio spends many thousands of dollars each
year on professional education to stay on the cutting edge of
photography, with regards to technology, aesthetic and artistic
trends, photo products, services and business. Karen regularly
attends professional continuing education seminars, workshops and
tradeshows at the local, state, regional, national and
international level, with seminars given by the top photographers
in the world. Additionally, Karen has received personal one-on-one
mentoring by the Americas top senior photographer for the last two
of three years in an all-day hands-on Master
Class.
